I emigrated from Calcutta, India nineteen years ago to pursue my PhD at the University of California, Berkeley and settled down in the San Francisco Bay Area. I love to read and live close to nature, cook vegetables from my garden while they still have the warm loamy touch, feel the wind on my face when I go for trail runs. I have travelled around the globe for work and adventure, and some of my favorite destinations like Santa Fe, New Mexico, Istanbul, Turkey and Kochi/Cochin, India feature in my novel.
